Culture Days – Exploring Early Mapping in the North

This Saturday September 29th the Yukon Historical & Museums Association, together with the Jilkaat Heritage Centre (Klukwan, Alaska) and the Yukon Archives are presenting a storytelling circle on the maps in the afternoon from 2 PM to 5 PM at the Yukon Archives in Whitehorse. TKC Elder Frances Woolsey has been involved in researching and documenting the maps with Klulwan people and Linda Johnson since the 1980s. Frances will be one of the storytellers on Saturday along with Elder Bessie Cooley from Teslin Tlingit Council.
