Summer Culture Camp

Ta’an Kwäch’än Council’s Summer Culture Camp 2015 for ages 8 – 15 will take place from August 3-7, 2015. Our theme this year is Traditional Song and Dance and Button Blanket making.
Please have completed registration forms in to the office by July 27, 2015 at 4:30pm
We will meet morning from August 3-7, 2015, at the TKC office at 08:30am at 117 Industrial Road; camp attendees will be driven to Helen’s Fish Camp leaving daily from Ta’an at 9am and returning to TKC main administration office for pick up at 4:30pm
Please call 668-3613 before 9am should your child be unable to attend camp.
We will provide nutritious snacks and lunches to participants and Thursday will be the Family feast night from 5-7pm at Helens Camp all families welcome to attend; please advise Heritage Program Coordinator if your child would like to stay if parent or guardian is unable to attend; and a pick up at Ta’an main office can be arranged for 8pm.
There will be no swimming permitted at camp as there is no certified lifeguard with a Bronze Cross.
Culture Camp Supply list: please ensure your child has the following
- ABSOLUTELY NO CELL PHONES OR OTHER ELECTRONICS
- Potlatch bags: Cup, plate, bowls, utensils
- Sunscreen
- Hat
- Water bottle
- Extra clothing
- Please dress appropriately for the weather
