Home and Community Care
Our Home and Community Care Coordinator works closely with Health Services Canada and the Ta'an Kwäch'än Elders Program. Our Home Support Worker offers light house-cleaning duties for Ta'an Kwäch'än citizens, rides to medical appointments and assistance with workshops.
First Nation and Inuit Canada Prenatal Nutrition Program
This program is available to Ta'an Kwäch'än citizens who are planning a pregnancy as well as to pregnant and post-natal women with children up to one year of age. Both parents are encouraged to attend the program. We also offer a grocery subsidy and monthly luncheons for healthy cooking. Brochures and other resource materials from our library may be obtained in the health offices located next to the Ta'an Kwäch'än Council main administration building.
Ta'an Kwäch'än women are invited to attend our sewing circle every Monday at 5:00 p.m.
Community counseling services are available upon request.
