BYTE is a ‘by youth, for youth’ organization that focuses on empowering and promoting youth throughout Canada’s North. Our mission is to unlock potential through youth empowerment. Their Sixth Annual Leaders’ in Training (LiT) Conference is an opportunity for emerging young leaders (14-18 years) from northern communities to build tangible leadership skills, self-confidence and strong community togetherness.

Youth leaders and their chaperones are invited to a three-day retreat in Haines Junction. In order to reduce barriers to participate, all costs such as travel and accommodation, are covered by our organization. In addition to three days of youth programming, we provide a professional development opportunity for the adult chaperones that offers new youth-related skills that they can take back to their communities to continue supporting youth. The chaperone must be willing to drive youth to Haines Junction and will be reimbursed for mileage after programming on the March 11, 2018.
